2019 YCS THEME: I am the servent of the Lord, may it be done to you according to your word. (LK; 1:8)
St. Alexander Nyamecheo secondary school to host the Diocese YCS rally. The school is in kisii denary amasago parish. The rally is scheduled to take place on 9th of March this year.
Topics to be discussed include;
1. Qualities of the servant of God.
2. Litugy of the word of the Lord.
3. Challenges the servants of the Lord face today.
4. Ways in which the youth can serve the Lord.
The student speakers of the day were chosen representative of the three denaries in Kisii Diocese (that is Nyamira, Kisii and Gucha).
It was agreed that the moderators' seminar will take place on the 26th of January 2019. The venue will be St. Vincent pastoral center in Kisii town.
The YCS chairman Mr. Mbaka motivated the students and asked them to welcome the form one students into the YSC movement "before cows become cows, they must first be calves" he said.

He also apologized to anyone who he my have wronged during his reign as the chair of the YCS.
He remainded us that our work is to evangelize the word of the Lord.
Finally he wished everyone a happy prosperous new year.
Fr. Joseph Ontomu who is the youth chaplain in Kisii diocese and a teacher at Pope Benedict minor seminary, challenged the moderators to make YSC transformative in our various schools. The priest said he is not a good orator and therefore didn't speak much. He concluded with a word of prayer that marked the end of the meeting.
